Developed in 1944 and 1945, the P-80 Shooting Star arrived just a bit too late to see action in World War 2 however the airplane was used during the Korean War. Brown's airplane making a high speed pass over the world's largest compass rose located on Rodgers Dry Lake at Edwards AFB.
