Artist's Description

There were 2 prototypes built of the XB-70 Valkyrie, Mach 3 bomber. Both aircraft were utilized for testing by NASA. With the crash of the No 2 ship, the remaining Valkyrie continued flight testing with NASA exploring sonic booms and control of structural dynamics. With only two XB-70 Valkyries built and eight TB-58A Hustlers, these two aircraft are rare birds indeed.
